英語美文:節儉，是一種了不起的能力

Many so-called life coaches will tell you that: if a man loves a woman, he should spend as much money as possible on her without hesitation .

很多所謂的心靈導師都說：“如果一個男人愛一個女人，就應該毫不猶豫地在她身上花錢，花得越多越好。”

Sadly, too many women believe in this. And that's why their lives have been so miserable.

可悲啊，好多女人信這個，于是她們的一生都過得很慘。

Why?

為什么呢？

Because it ignored an essential question: Where does money come from?

因為這個說法忽略了一個根本的問題：錢從哪來？

At any given time, the total amount of money in this world is finite.

在這個世界上，在任何給定的時間里，錢的總量是有限的。

If you use some money here, you can't use them there. If you use these money to do this, you can't use them to do that.

一筆錢出現在這就不會出現在那，拿來干這就不能拿來干那。

So, any money should be spent economically, no matter whether it's a man's money or a woman's money.

所以，任何一筆錢都應該節省著花，不管這是男人的錢還是女人的錢。

If you don't do it, these money will eventually go through the net of businesses to someone who knows how to do it.

如果你不節省，這些錢就會最終通過商業這張大網匯聚到那些懂得節省的人那里。

Yes, doing business is a form of being economical. It's spending your current resources in a smart way to bring you more resources.

對，經商從本質上來講是一種節省，它是在把現有的資源以聰明的方法花出去，從而帶來更多的資源。

When you spend money like they mean nothing to you, you're not actually paying for a better life for yourself. You are just feeding your money to someone smarter than you.

當你亂花錢的時候，你不是在用錢寵愛自己，而是在用錢供養那些比你聰明的人。

It's totally easy to spend moeny. Everybody can do that. It's not something you can show off. And there is nothing in it to be proud of.

花錢這件事，誰都會，沒有什么好炫耀的，也沒有什么可自豪的。

On the other hand, saving money is a rare skill.

而節省，就真的是一種稀缺的技能了。

Few people know how to do it. And that's why there have always been only an extremely limited amount of successful people in this world.

擁有這個技能的人很少，這也就是為什么世界上永遠只有少數人能成功。
