i recently decided that this puzzle had remained unsolved for too long， andresolved to find an explanation. (in the grand tradition of science， i refusedto be discouraged by the basic irrelevance of my cause.) but the truth that iuncovered is more shocking and fantastic than i could have ever imagined. myprocedures， observations， and conclusions are as follows:

first， to verify that the problem exists， experimental and control loads oflaundry were completely processed (put through the washer and dryer). in thexperimental load (load with socks)， by the end of the process， some socks werelost. but in the control load (load without socks)， no socks were lost. thus theproblem was verified.

next the progress of a load of socks was carefully monitored. the resultsindicated that sock disappearance occurs during the period of time when the loadis in the dryer. following this conclusion， a literature search was done and avery significant fact was uncovered: there is no mention of socks disappearingin dryers before the invention of dryers in the 1920s. all evidence clearlypointed to the dryer. and it is there that i would find the answer to theenigma.

then， the actual experiment was done. in four separate trials， a number ofsocks (ten socks， or five pairs) were put through a normal drying cycle. thetypes of socks tested were selected by the highly accurate harvey-allmanprinciple hierarchy and zero alternative reduction dimension.

20x年2月底我向家里說(shuō)明了我想去日本留學(xué)的意愿。在當(dāng)時(shí)就得到了家人的許可。于是從20x年的3月份開(kāi)始我到x日語(yǔ)培訓(xùn)學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)日語(yǔ)，平常的上課時(shí)間我正常到學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)高中的課程到了，周末就上x(chóng)日語(yǔ)培訓(xùn)班去學(xué)習(xí)日語(yǔ)，到現(xiàn)在為止我的日語(yǔ)水平已達(dá)到使用最基本的日常用語(yǔ)和進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)單的閱讀的程度。日本以后，打算先到語(yǔ)言學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)。為自己將來(lái)進(jìn)一步的深造做好語(yǔ)言上的準(zhǔn)備。

在此基礎(chǔ)上，根據(jù)本人的個(gè)人喜好和特長(zhǎng)，想在日本的大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)物流管理。日本是個(gè)經(jīng)濟(jì)文化繁榮發(fā)達(dá)的國(guó)家，尤其改革開(kāi)放以來(lái)，中日兩國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)文化藝術(shù)的交流更加深入。當(dāng)我學(xué)有所成回國(guó)后，將致力于家鄉(xiāng)的經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展，用在日本所學(xué)的先進(jìn)的管理方去經(jīng)營(yíng)自己家鄉(xiāng)的企業(yè)。也愿意在日友好中日文化經(jīng)濟(jì)交流方面貢獻(xiàn)自己的聰明才智。

父母支持我的留學(xué)請(qǐng)求，能夠支付我在日本的一切費(fèi)用。我到日本以后，保證遵守日本的法律遵守學(xué)校的規(guī)章制度。好好學(xué)習(xí)，增長(zhǎng)本領(lǐng)，成為一個(gè)有用的人才

i live in pakistan-a country destroying itself with bombs,guns and governments' blabber to find justifications for what it is going through;a country where a former president is murdered in public,where the nation's constitution and parliament are suspended at the same time,and where the voice of a common man is unheard.

since the last few years, i had aspired to become a idea of "scalpels," "opened chests" and "sutures" had always intrigued then it happened!the recent unprecedented events in my country wiped off the dust of disillusionment from my eyes;i lost my will to become a r,the turmoil in the country led me towards newspapers and news channels,and hence politics.

as i involved myself into politics,i realized that it is all-embracive-wielding its way over social and economic life-it is the omnipotent of can mobilize public opinion,gear up propaganda machinery,make or repeal laws and what up by public opinion,supported by the majority of the legislators,armed with the means to keep the people in a state of ignorance,political power crosses the limits of dictatorial cal power,like the most powerful intoxicant,makes the persons in power to forget social ethics,political morality and obligations.

most of the learned youth in this country consider politics to be "a refuge for the scoundrels" and this derogatory remark may be true if we look at the deceptive and degenerated type of politicians indulging in a dirty these political parties are votaries of democracy,but the way they conduct themselves inside their own parties is nothing but senseless ore a very few students choose to pursue politics as a profession,but what they don't realize is that if we don't take a stand the system can never be ,i want to study politics so i can come back to my country and contribute what little i can do for my homeland and its i can inspire even a single person,it would be worth world today is growing are now not only to think of our own nation but as and when we think of it,we have to keep the international perception in mind;consequently,i chose politics with international relations as one of my courses.

studying in uk will breed a sense of inspaniduality and self reliance.i would be able to interact with people from everywhere and get to know about their would not only open new horizons for me,but would also clear some preconceived notions one has about the other.i have always been an active participant of debates.i have participated in 3 model un conferences out of which i was awarded with the best delegate award in two. i was also one of the two students to be selected from my school to participate in the english speaking union 'er, i've taken part in parliamentary style debates ore i believe i can communicate effectively in public and language will not be a barrier in my rmore, i have worked as an internee at al-shifa eye hospital for a month in i learnt how to deal with patients,use the auto ref, handle files and also campaigned to a remote area near murree where we helped the doctors in examining the patients free of r experience which taught me a lot was when me and my fellow colleagues volunteered to paint walls for the sos children's addition,i worked with sungi (ngo) where a group of 5 of us had to organize an event to pay tribute to 1000 women for the nobel peace prize.

i enjoy literature,especially the works of shakespeare,tennessee williams,thomas hardy and andrew marvell.i'd be delighted to study in a challenging atmosphere where i can focus on my studies.i commit to my work and my ability to think out of the box,keenness for politics and my perception of things,i understand,gives me an edge over others.i believe in myself,and if provided with an opportunity,i'd make the university proud.
