As an ancient Chinese saying goes， “He who travels far knows much”. In my opinion， modern life is impossible without traveling. For me， there are two kinds of traveling. On the one hand， traveling on foot brings me many benefits. It can make me enjoy my holidays and many different life styles; it can broaden my vision， let me learn more about other countries or cultures. On the other hand， reading is another kind of traveling. It can bring me to the places where I can not go for the time being. Books are the best friends of human being. Last summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of our

country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are lots and lots of visitors.Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin (stone forests). There are all kinds of strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls, double-edged swords, mice,

elephants and so on. Of all the stones, the stone like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.

I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight Diagrams. Any road in the city goes to the center of Li Jiang. A river runs through the whole city. If you go along the river, you'll never get lost. There are many ethnic minority people in Yunnan. They are very cordial. And they all like singing and dancing. We danced with them around the campfire that night. I really had a good time.

I like the elephants and fruits there best. An elephant is even taller than me! I even mounted the elephant, though I was very afraid at first. But the elephant seemed very friendly. I took some photos with it. The fruits there are very fresh and delicious. They are very good for our health.

The trip to Yunnan impressed me GREatly. I will never forget it.

In this sense， tourism should hold a position in the scope and ought to be treated as such.

It is true that there is some sense in the theory， yet another equally or even more important aspect should be granted more publicity to. Tourism， in terms of its objective purposes， has a social function which contributes to human munication. Coming from vadous social backgrounds， having motives and goals of every kind， tourists get together， draw close and exchange ideas of their own， from which a fresh state of mind will be created. So what kind of production is it? To the question we should have good reason to give a proper answer: it is a spirit production， a reproduction of relations of production. And the more frequently such exchanges are made， the more good they will do to promoting social and economic development of the mutual. If it is the case that making money through tourism means a dent we have made， so it foretells a fortune to provide cultural service along with tourism. Therefore， to keep close eyes on the latter involves changing our minds first， that is， tourism is by nomeans a pure economic concept， but takes plenty of ideological activities as its content.

To sum up， unlike other economic forms， the profits from tourism economy cannot be measured pletely by means of how much output value， profit， and foreign exchange it will produce. In addition to the reputation of pollution-free industry， its social and far-reaching profit should be probed more deeply. As such the existing scenic spots ought to be kept in good maintenance， and some new ones exploited. Moreover， constructing first-class soft and hard surroundings is desired to attract tourists， the foreign and the domestic.

Boao is a small town that located at the east of qionghai of Hainan province .It is 110 kilometers from Haikou .Of cause ,the symbol of the town is the site of Boao forum for Asia .So somebody will ask me ,why this small town was chosen by world leaders as the permanent site for Asian. From geography angle to see, the town is at the mouth of Wanquan river, it has the most beautiful scenery together with Long gun river and Jiuqu river .In Chinese traditional concept, it means on the top of the beautiful scenery, it could take a lot of good luck to China .
